Chris Barker is an Associate Professor in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis and co-director of the Pacific Southwest Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases. His interests are in medical entomology and epidemiology, and his research group studies the factors that cause outbreaks of mosquito-borne diseases. He and his team work closely with partners in public health and mosquito control throughout the U.S. on ways to improve the evidence available to support vector control decisions.
